Your patient is requesting EEG neurofeedback.  I am a psychologist in Santa Barbara who specializes in EEG neurofeedback training.   Neurofeedback has been practiced in the US for over 30 years and has a track record for safety and efficacy.

I have created a web site, www.neurofeedback-sb.com, in which I provide information about how it is used and disorders it can help treat.  There are several links to websites that offer further documentation on this method.

General medical insurance may cover a portion of the patient's cost for evaluation and treatment. 

How you can help is to write on your prescription pad, 

          "EEG biofeedback 20-40 treatments (90901)." 

Then give it to your patient.  Your patient can then submit the bill with your written prescription to their insurance carrier.
