and EEG Neurofeedback

Through the end of the 1980’s and during the entire 1990’s I continued to refer patients to Margaret Ayers.  In 2001, I moved to Santa Barbara and purchased her unit, called Neuropathways.  I took 40 hours of training from Margaret and was supervised by her on every case for the first year, and often into the second year. 

In 2003 I was teaching at the California Graduate Institute and a student, Josie Preston, chose to track 7 of my clients who were receiving neurofeedback.  She completed the dissertation in 2004 and found that not only did clients achieve remission of symptoms they came in for, but experienced an overall improvement in their functioning.  It was as if the brain sharpened in all areas.
